at this list of bs this is ... bro give us a real track, i like experimental stuff, but how can an experiment get the best track?

I'll listen to the whole livestream later but just from skimming the placements on 1001TL I can say that the Wildstylez & Showtek and B-Front & Phuture Noize slots were pretty much the only ones giving me any sort of feeling of affinity with today's modal hardstyle listener. Live Forever winning was expected and fine but I agree the track mostly feels experimental and better for home listening (I favor drive over pretty sound design live). I'd rather listen to the Wildstylez remix of Tiesto's Drifting, which imo should have been somewhere on the list.

Edit: Also, I was surprised how low Dying For A Light ended up. It released late in the year but I feel that in the past it would have ranked higher on account of its recency factor/big Qlimax debut and also just based off the Noisecontrollers brand. Maybe goes to show how the scene has significantly changed over the past few years.
