Not totally true, i built my own PC almost half a year ago spending around 800/900 eur with a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3070, 2TB nvme SSD and 64GB RAM, all new, some of its parts at a light discount, still a premium PC, i'd say even more powerful than baseline PS5 but with a dozen more functionalities than just gaming, its my music producer rig too, we'll see how it competes against the ProDjVero wrote: 11 Sep 2024, 17:23 For a high quality PC you pay loads more though, or at least I did. There is always Nintendo if you don't want these exorbitant prices.
Now the Pro matches the price and in some countries even surpass it
And about Nintendo, that's a half true too, the console is "cheap" now but they almost never and i'd say never discount their first party games price, at least in my country/currency + they started charging for online multiplayer too
Zelda Breath of The Wild and Mario Odyssey are almost 8 year old and still full priced
At the end is just about each one preferences and how some values their money, i just fear this is the begining of PS monopoly in console gaming, i'd argue duopoly with nintendo but they're on their own league not depending on third parties
