No, but you're all hoping for psytrance or some shit. It's just gonna be a standard lineup. Which i have nothing against btw....VanillaFace wrote:Because Q-dance events are so generic...diesal11 wrote:inb4 another generic Q-Event

well they have psytrance at defqon so why is out of the question to have it at iqon? also Qdance always put on great events and line ups here so don't see whats "generic" about themdiesal11 wrote:No, but you're all hoping for psytrance or some shit. Agree. The events themselves are anything but generic. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for some of the DJ's who often perform at said events. However, in the absence of any sort of detail, I'll defer any judgement to a later time.
Until then, let us open up the floor to baseless speculation. We know it's outdoors, and will almost certainly be in Sydney (because the drug cartels control Mexico or something). Perhaps they have a venue which is accessible without taking an epic train journey followed by changing for bus transfers. Then again, if you can hold an event on the outskirts of Penrith, there's nothing to say you couldn't do the same at, for example, Woolongong. Or just have it at Centennial Park (Parklife) or Randwick (FMF) or even the Showgrounds at Olympic Park (as long as it's nowhere near those shitty warehouses that Powerhouse insist are awesome but are actually shit). On the topic of outdoor spaces though, I'm reminded of an hilarious episode which took place several years ago, when flyers for the first Hard Wars: Outdoors billed the venue as the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre, with a Google Earth image clearly depicting Centre Court. True to the form of the dodgy then-promoter, one DJ Fenix/Overdrive, it actually took place in the Tennis Centre carpark, and many lulz were had at the expense of those who expected it to take place at somewhere that wasn't shit. (The carpark was also clearly visible in the Google Earth image, though was never specifically mentioned in the promotional material).
While there's much debate about things such as the positive and negative influence The Organisation has, never let it be said that Q don't deliver what they promise.
I just hope they don't promise a carpark. Unless it's a really nice one.

So how many major outdoor festivals does Q-dance host around the world that have a single stage?...
I highly doubt that they would ever host one here that isn't. It's in everyone's interest to have multiple stages.

Also, got a VIP ticket lined up today. No details of the festival released yet, but it feels real already!

Tickets won't be released for a good while yet. The one I've got is through Q-dance.Waffler wrote:Tickets are already being prepared? I might actually have to get one, I missed out on Defqon this year because of work
