Phuture Noize & B-Front - The Enlightenment (Album) [Mirror Society]

Post by Shodan »

smh fucking tiktok generation, attention span of a snail shrinked this "album" to 27min (6)
This is not real hardstyle, hardstyle MUST beat the 6 minute lenght on every track

Jk, really cool album i really really like the fake drop on Destination Unknown and Frozen Tears

Destination Unknown: 9/10, nice fake drop, nice melody
Frozen Tears: 8/10, nice vocals, nice melody
Tiny Pretty Lights: 5/10, i really dislike the the kicks :\
The Catalyst: 9/10, the first climax (L)
Stars (Take Me Higher): 7/10 i understand the idea, but a little bit lazy for me...
Polestar: 10/10, this is magic :listen:
Wide Awake: 8/10 , nice one :whoop:
My Salvation: 6/10, pure B-Front track signature in this album, it's ok i guess :(
Scars: 10/10 Pure PN solo and sounds great (L)
The Enlightenment: 9/10 nothing more to say ;)

Super nice album but really short

This is the stuff of legends.

This is one of those albums where anything else just feels out of place playing it after it because the entire album worked so well together, and is so different from anything else.

I love how the entire album is filled with lots of bright and small melodic elements, representing small spots of "light" and hope (in my interpretation).
Its what chains the entire album together.

And what melodies have they crafted... oh man, the entire thing is filled with 'the paradox' & 'my beautiful fantasy' class melodies.
The melodies make me feel like there is real hope, for everything to be alright again soon, even in these dark times.
A beautiful feeling to have, just what i need right now tbh.

And accompanying it are some of the most consistantly good vocals in the scene, the lyrics are well written, specific enough to have actual meaning and power on their own, but mysterious enough to give room for you to make your own interpretations of what they mean for you.

I like that they managed to find some kicks that have some real power to them, but can also work together with the rest of the track.
A few of the tracks have lots of drive as well, the catalyst, scars & destination unknown come to mind.

Hardstyle for me, is about making a perfectly elegant fast paced dance of emotional melodies & powerful kicks.
And that is exactly what they have here. (and much more)

I hope this album will be seen as a blueprint for how to do hardstyle albums like this.
Not that everybody should do things like this, but more should.

Great job, this album is one i will not be forgetting, ever.

Are these gonna have extended mixes or it is it? As a dj, I prefer to mix rather than drop radio edit after radio edit.

iirc, B-Front said in the q&a that they'll release extended mixes at some point.
