You can move while high? I can't even walk to take a piss or else my heart rate matches the typical uptempo BPM :+
Half-joking with that though, I wish my heart rate didn't skyrocket with high THC intake.

Yeah kinda, only thing is that my perception of time is fucked up, like 5 minute walks feel like 2 hours. And when I smoked a lot (multiple joints), I'll walk a bit 'drunk'. But that's with 20%+ THC joints like Amnesia Haze. But in general yeah 90% of the time I'm able to look/act like a sober person (except for the eyes).

Also depends on if 'assie' (hash joint) or weed. If I smoke assie I barely feel something and am able to work, go to the gym, etc etc.

That's why I prefer weed (after I'm done with everything for the day ofc).

Just wanted to chime in here as I’m in the process of quitting after smoking (way too high amounts) of weed daily for 2 years and I just wanna say weed definitely is not a harmless drug / addiction like some people say, especially not for people who are genetically prone to addiction, it’s actually a pretty nasty one to get off if you’re using it to escape from your thoughts. It ain’t ‘just weed’, don’t underestimate it, all I wanna say :D and the multiple weeks of daily nightmares after quitting and waking up every night covered in sweat panicking from whatever the fuck you were just dreaming are fucking horrible, imo. Even more reason to quit sooner than later.

For the ones that can manage to smoke occasionally without problems, enjoy it ofc haha. :P

Do not agree, as I'm one of those who smoke occasionally, but wish you the best with quitting. ;)

Then it wasn’t aimed at you :P let me say, if you’re prone to addiction / mental health problems do not underestimate weed, for some it can make things a lot worse and it’s not fun coming off it

Big agree there. It's just as psychologically addicting as any other substance like sugar, caffeine, and certain foods for some.
I definitely have days or moments where I wish I could have a couple of hits to take the edge off, so I get it. Coming from someone who spent nearly all summer spending his entire weekends in that state ^^
My tolerance is nothing like it used to be, so it's hard to get that specific feeling that I used to have when it was more of a rarely occasional thing. Even taking 5 weeks off, one sesh later and my tolerance was back to BS. Oh well. Maybe after this latest batch I picked up, I'll go on a sobriety break.

Totally agree with this. Also alcohol for obvious reasons.

I have a friend who i respect for being sober for over multiple years straight. He also has shown me videos regarding brainrot recently. I didn‘t know that term (i am very much informed about every dynamic) and i saw you mentioning it the day after. So i guess you are informing yourself a lot.

Next to your gym routines. A hell lot of respect for taking your life in your hands working on it.

It also helped me really much to understand dynamics to work on good habits and i think ryan could‘ve needed a person like you to work on his mind struggles. Shutting your mind forcefully or with drugs might work on a raw track but isn‘t a good way to face overthinking.

I have people here who really say they are using it to escape from thoughts. Quite scary. I wasn‘t aware about weed f.e. can also trigger stuff like a psychosis. As i told it someone he was like „its no psychosis“ n‘ shit but it was and we all agreed in the end.

Which can also, like LSD bad trips n‘ shit change your brains neurological connections during a bad time and it might be extremely difficult to counter it again/getting back on track. Alcohol on the other hand is already a shithole due to the damaged sleep cycles so mentally ill persons can‘t even recover/reset the brain overnight.

Cool stuff you‘re spreading it :)

Emre One hint. Once you, as a „prone to addictions“ guy can get over to a more or less positive state of mind. You‘ll be more creative than other people as you‘ll have a shitload of positive ideas jumping in to your head.

There are people who do have as an example 50k‘ thoughts a day. Also there are people with 70k thoughts at the same state. Also being „addicted“ is just no more than being aware of too much and having less focus generally. Or to say it differently. Facing a shitload of thoughts and a good dose of awareness needs a more trained brain/focus to counterfeit bullshit.

With more positive states less drugs etc you will have a boosted curiousity (is that even proper english?).

I can talk for days as its an interesting topic.

Amperial Thanks :D btw, 'brainrot' is just some tiktok term used when someone comments something stupid, it doesn't have to do anything with weed, although it kinda fucked my short term memory.

My pov, if your life is stable and everything is in order and you smoke weed to relax, it can be a nice way to relax. But if your mind and life are unstable and you start smoking weed, you're not gonna be motivated enough to grab those problems you have by the balls and since it's wayyy too good to escape from thoughts with weed, every problem you have will turn into a bigger one.

And since it's a 'mellow' drug people see it as safe, quitting is damn hard. I quitted cigarettes no problem, I quitted 3mmc (unfortunately abused it way too hard in 2023) without much problems, but weed.. o_O it's like a old friend saying 'hey dude, wanna relax and feel chill without hangover'? 24/7 which is hard to say no to when your mind is chaos all the time.
