Heya,
Lololyrics is looking for some people to join our highly motivated moderator staff. Currently most of us are low on time and we'd like to decrease the duration a lyric needs to get approved again.
Requirements:
* You like helping people. (In other words, you want to help people as much as possible. You do not get annoyed but instead fix and/or tell if people miss minor things)
* Good understanding of English. (Spelling errors, grammar, decent vocabulary so you won't mistake words for something else, etc.). Other languages are beneficial

Lololyrics recruiting mods
Pushing this up again: new job, family and distance learning are bringing me pretty much to the limits of being able to put out a satisfying amount of content again.
Youngsters and gramps are welcome equally. For those too young to know us cos we didn't make it to insta or tiktok: we are pretty much the number one provider for lyrics of various subgenres of electronic music ranging from those sing-a-long tracks that make you leave the dancefloor to distorted tracks that make you wonder why anyone would actually want to read the lyrics.
It includes a lot of sex, drugs, violence and conspiracy, so you will like it.

Lololyrics plans for 2024:
Noticed that it has been much easier to find or motivate new people to volunteer 10-15 years ago. However, it seems to be a general problem for like every other website I'm connected with, which makes me wonder if social media and video games are indeed consuming the most time of nowadays internet generation.
For this year I've put some other things on my agenda dealing with rough time management and trying to increase users engagement
1.) Noticed some flaws with lyrics that have been added in the early years of lololyrics and will focus on reworks of everything that's been added <2010
2.) Personally, I will add less "new" lyrics than in previous years. Due to point 1 there will be a genre-crossing mix of old, new and hidden gems. This will also prevent some of the insane amount of content thievery from other lyric websites and keep our "uniqueness" factor on a high level. As many users started using lololyrics as kind of a database we've loosened our guidelines, making it possible to add released remixes and similar.
3.) I will favor spending time trying to decipher requested lyrics, which I've neglected a bit in recent times
(There have been discussions of adding the genre "Tek" as umbrella term for all related genres, that atm go mostly with "Other", "Hardcore" or "Frenchcore" on lololyrics. There's also the possibility of splitting the Hardcore genre further with Uptempo and Industrial/Crossbreed. With around 10k Hardcore lyrics the practicability is questionable tho)
